after feeling rather guilty for laughing at the amount of people which click on this page expecting something supercalofragelisticexpialodocious, only to find “WILL BE EDITED SOON!”, i decided to end you all of your misery and tell you all you need to know about moi.
so, i’m somali. i’m also muslim, which is in itself quite important, but what i want you to remember is that i am somali. that, in itself, is quite significant, for it answers a lot of “why are you like that” questions which you may end up directing at me.
i am never one without opinion on everything in life. having said that, i know i am young, and thus may not have witnessed “everything” that life has to offer to be in a position to judge and have an opinion on it. i am a student of life and nature, and it, with its signs, beauty and grace, never seizes to amaze me; i am constantly drawing parallels in life/nature and Allah (even the smallest conversation, the most insignificant moment). so expect a little depth in my posts. also expect sarcasm, and slight cynicism and dark humour. i am very brutally honest, which, though i admit to regretting at times, i would never substitute for all the gems in the world.
but don’t be fooled. i am arguably the most childish person i know, and though i unleash this generously in the comfort of my humble abode, the people which see me in my daily life happen to think i am quite reserved and mature. maybe, but y o u h a v e n o i d e a! my darling avatar gives a remarkably truthful hint of the gal i am at heart: simple, unashamedly (and deliberately) naive, with a clorourfully floral persona. i am damned nice and proud of it, especially at a time when it ain’t so cool.
if all else in life changes, this much i know will stay true: who i am will not change. people’s perception will, most asuredly, but i myself shan’t. this is my blueprint; these characterstics are my leapord spots, and they cannot ever be changed.
before i end this cringe-worthy, and perhaps regrettably unwarranted public defense of my persona, let me enlighten you as to the layout of my blog. it will have language similar to this: ana aftiker nafsi jovial and humble mais ca n’est pas tout le vraiment tout les temps. why? simply because i apreciate the richness of languages; i am an artist who seeks beauty in life, and where i find it, i appreciate it as it should be appreciated.
yours truely;
the girl with the inky 9alam.
ps: comment s’il vous plait. yes i know the french accent thing is missing, but i am using an english keyboard, naturally! oh, and just to let you know, you are likely to find mistake in my french; it is under construction.
