• http://beyoutifulhijabi.blogspot.com/ by fellow somali sister Ayan from Canada. was sooo excited to see another somali voice on the net, and will continue enjoying her for a long time inshaAllah.
• http://tammyssomalihome.blogspot.com/ by a lovely revert sister married to a somali hubbie, and is naturally REPPING somali food!
• http://www.modestjustice.blogspot.com/ i have discovered her two seconds ago (obviously a lot longer after this post registers in your brain) and have decided she is hot hot HOT! mashaAllah, another somali sis on the net… any more?
• http://www.cozweare-sisters.blogspot.com another (two birds in one stone) somali sisters blogging from london and singapore! lovely jubbely! naz and aquila.
• http://practisingmuslimah.blogspot.com/ another sister (mia) who for some dumb reason i took a while in putting onto my somali list. well she’s here now!

arab bloggers (izzayokou ya 3am w ya khaalah?!) and spouse/relatives:

• http://fattractive.wordpress.com/ by an egyptian sister qui habit fi misr. i love her style of writing; not floral and descriptive, yet sufficiently satisfying and consisely humerous.
• http://3beeta.blogspot.com/ by my favourite virtual revert sister, Angela, married to the famous el-masri. oh, and her other blog http://angesbook.blogspot.com/ and http://hegab-rehab.blogspot.com/ her writing feels like she’s speaking to me. well, i’m listening and laughing hard!
• http://culture-557.blogspot.com/ she’s cute, young, fresh and funny. almost like a mini-Angela, though with depth/bitterness at times.
• http://perplxintexan.blogspot.com/ OMG! i love this blog. i love all of the above too, but this blog is one towards which i feel a strong personal tie, for Allah knows pourqoui. i love the intensity, the dark humour, the profound mind battles which are chronicalled there.
• http://fattyboomstiknomore.blogspot.com/ well, its hilarious, and american. something which doesn’t often happen, to be quite honest. i guess it’s the britishness in me, and my childhood with japanese/korean/chinese anime cartoons (which i swear isn’t completely over!) which decided that american humour is… as dry as the namibian desert.
• http://aloneeverafter.wordpress.com/ by an arab brother. a deliberately depressing portrayal of his life, which i find quite enlightening, but which he has stopped writing about. nevertheless, i  find his writing style enticing, and will go through every single letter he has written, inshaAllah. defo worth my time.
• http://themiddleeasterncook.blogspot.com/ which is a definitely “ya salam!” worthy site very delicious-looking (and probably tasting) food, which, if you haven’t eaten in a while, might hallucinate you into biting chips off your computer (get the pun? hehehe! i need to sleep already…)
• http://maverick007.wordpress.com/ by an arab brother. interesting, seldom depressing, and at times, profound. recently discovered. addicted to it, by now.

les autre gens qui blog very often, and whom i find quite inviting:

• http://war-torn-in-pieces.blogspot.com/ i find her light and airy, and her youtube clips are rather amusing (british for a job well-done!)
• http://sliceoflemon.com is an indian sister, sabrina, who is happily married and writes with flair and hearty humour. je t’aime, je t’aime, quipas (read: i like you, i like you, perhaps. it’s a play on nat king cole’s classic “perhaps, perhaps, perhaps”). she found my blog first, and boy, am i glad to have read some of her entries – will continue doing so, gladly, inshaAllah
• http://majda-says.blogspot.com/ i like what i see, i see what i like
